Chris Miller, aka the "News Goat" fills in for Matt and Ramona's news segment when Pete is out. Every weekend morning, Chris Miller brings Charlotte its first news of the day as anchor of "Charlotte's Morning News -- Weekend Edition." Chris, a Charlotte-area native who grew up with the radio always tuned to 1110, joined the WBT news team in April 2002. It was WBT's coverage of Hurricane Hugo (which hit the area the day of Chris' 7th birthday) that peaked Chris' interest in broadcast news. Chris now finds himself working with many of the people he grew up listening to, including Don Russell and John Hancock. When he's not at the anchor desk, you'll often find Chris reporting on other stories that have Charlotte talking. A self-described political junkie, Chris has reported on a number of local, state, and federal races, including former Sen. John Edwards' 2004 presidential campaign. Chris graduated magna cum laude from Queens University in Charlotte. He's an avid fan of the Duke Blue Devils and the Boston Red Sox. Chris lives in south Charlotte.
